Build a multi-stop rail journey with real timetable data and railway paths. This free, ad-free beta has partial coverage: a missing train or search result does not mean that no service exists.
21 timetable sources from 13 countries, plus some international services. Source countries are Austria, Switzerland, Germany, Denmark, Spain, Finland, France, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway and Sweden. Coverage varies within every country.
Italy: Trenord, EAV and ARST are included, alongside some international trains carried by other approved sources. The beta does not include a complete Trenitalia or Italo domestic timetable.
France: Eurostar, Trenitalia France and ZOU are included; the national SNCF feed is not part of this beta. Eurostar also provides some services to Belgium and the United Kingdom. Other countries may appear on cross-border services without domestic network coverage.
Before you travel
Times are scheduled; live delays, fares and ticket booking are not included. Platforms, availability and service changes must be checked with the operator. Published calendar dates vary by source, especially across the December timetable change. Search results are suggestions, not tickets or a guarantee of a connection. Providers do not endorse RailPlanner.
Daily feed checks download changed versions, validate a separate import and retain the previous version if checks fail. New source families stay excluded until reviewed. Source permissions are separate from the MOTIS software licence. Additional countries and operators will be added as their source conditions are clarified.
Attribution and source dates
Data source: Mobilitätsverbünde Österreich OG — data.mobilitaetsverbuende.at. Swiss timetable data: opentransportdata.swiss. Source: Fintraffic / digitraffic.fi, licence CC 4.0 BY. Other producers are listed below.
Changes include rail-only filtering, calendar-preserving selection, pinned Transitous corrections, identifier/train-label normalization and MOTIS routing. Embedded GTFS attribution and feed-info records are retained. The live import manifest records each input, source HTTP update information when supplied, hashes and download sizes. Import date is not the service-validity date or a claim that every publisher updated that day. The source notice and exact correction scripts are available.
Maps and the OSM source offer
Map and railway geometry: © OpenStreetMap contributors, under ODbL 1.0. The European source extract is from OpenStreetMap France, with replication timestamp 27 October 2026, 00:45:36 UTC. RailPlanner extracted railway ways and their nodes, adding missing references from original OSM records without inventing coordinates.
Download the complete modified railway OSM database (about 209 MiB) under ODbL, repair provenance and original added-node records. This is the source database used to compute the displayed railway paths. The modified OSM database and timetable inputs remain separately identified under their respective licences. Missing or approximate paths are withheld. Map tiles are requested directly from OSMF.
Timetable source register
Each input keeps its own licence, copyright, source and modification notices. The collection has no blanket timetable licence. Downloaded filtered inputs are the pre-import data; the linked pinned correction scripts describe the further import transformations.
